Who is it intended for?

Are you often stuck in your head and have you lost touch with your body and feelings? Do you have everything pretty much in order outwardly, but are still missing something deep inside? You are not alone. I would like to take you on an adventure. A powerful journey with all the tools that have been important to me in finding my place in the world. A place from which you can feel yourself, with enough peace, presence and an Intuition you dare to trust. True self-optimization is not that thick stack of self-help books next to your bed. That quest for ever healthier, ever better, ever more efficient. All of that has (had) value too, but ultimately leads mostly to constant restlessness. A feeling of "having to be different than you are now."

True self-optimization can only be found by first getting in touch with your inner world. Only from there can you determine what you really need. Where your strengths lie. What really makes you happier and where you should really spend your time and attention. Only from there can you really perform. Really win.

This is also often an underexposed aspect in breath work. Many methods and techniques focus on 1 single area. Better sleep and increased performance are nice but what are you going to do with that extra energy? If in the meantime you are insufficiently in touch with your emotional world, chances are that that extra energy will be lost again. Perhaps relationships are difficult, you doubt your direction or you are irritated with the world around you.

The same is true in the world of transformative breathwork. You can have giant deep breathing sessions where you get in touch with all kinds of traumas but if it doesn't help you further in achieving your goals then the added value is unclear.

The key here is "balance." Only in a healthy body, with a healthy mind, in touch with your feelings, and with a clarity about your place in the world can there be real performance. Until then, you are at best an unguided projectile.

In this program you will receive personal 1 on 1 coaching from me. From my years of experience as a breath coach and a wealth of experience with many of the most important currents in breath work today, I will guide you quickly and efficiently to the breath techniques that are most relevant to you- scientifically based.

Approach

Intake and assessment

Beforehand, we determine what you wish to achieve with this program. In a breath assessment I do an analysis of your current state . Based on this we design a customized program.

Conscious by theory

You will learn about the importance of functional breathing and the core principles of self-optimization through the skill of conscious breathwork.

Experiencing it yourself

You will receive customized exercises to achieve your personal goals. Sessions we use to deepen further through bodywork. Within a few days you will experience the first results yourself.

What to expect

  • The group of up to 6 men meets on 5 Friday evenings over 9 weeks. from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

  • We meet in my space in The Hague, within walking distance of forest, dunes, beach and sea. Depending on weather conditions we will sometimes meet in dunes or on the beach. .

  • We start with an active movement exercise, breathing exercise or perhaps an ice bath. Through this you become aware of your present experience so you automatically arrive in the here and now.

  • I will bring in a theme beforehand, something that is active for me at that time. After which we will have a short sharing round.

  • We sit down and start the sharing round.

  • We wrap up by exchanging and having another drink together.

Your launch into breathwork

Breathwork is getting more and more attention, and for good reason. With the increasing amount of stress-related complaints, there is a growing need to relax, to get "out of your head" and feel the connection with the body again.

But today there are so many breathing techniques, methods and protocols that many people can't see the forest for the trees. In I take you through the basics of breathwork and the nervous system to find simple applications of your own breath. You will learn the importance of functional breathing and receive exercises and tool to simply live better.

Application

Within 48 hours after registration you will receive a personal welcome email from me with a link to a form in which I ask some background information and what you want to achieve with this program. The email also contains a link where you can schedule your first appointment.

Week 1

We start the first hour and a half session in my practice space in The Hague. In this session we go over your goals and the information from the form. I will do an analysis of your breath and possibly apply bodywork to help it flow better. .
Based on this session, the program will be designed specifically for you.

Week 3,5 and 7

You will receive exercises to use at home to meet your goals. You will learn exactly how and why breath works. You get a practical understanding of the theoretical frameworks on which all breathing techniques are based. You learn to see through the most common misconceptions about breathing.
